Weddings
In recent years Oliver's Lodge Hotel has become a popular venue for wedding ceremonies adn receptions. Exclusive use is offered to wedding parties so hosts can offer hospitality as if Oliver's Lodge were their own home.
Location
Wedding ceremonies are conducted by the Registrar in the Conservatory/Garden/Premier Room. In Summer guests are served reception drinks in the spacious patio/garden. The photographer takes full advantage of the garden's beautiful setting with mature trees adn flower beds with formal and informal poses. It is during this time that ushers make a significant contribution to the running of the occasion. Their involvement is a great help to ensure that the time is well used and guests know when they are needed for formal photographs.
Numbers
Wedding parties take place here on any day of the week and at any time during the year. This enables Oliver's Lodge to accomodate parties of all sizes from 15 to 150 guests. The maximum capacity for seating a wedding party in the Premier Room is 75. Weddings over 75 require a marquee to adjoin the hotel (please ask for marquee details when you visit the hotel).
Drinks
The package offered depends entirely on your own style of hospitality and budget. Typically an allowance is made to offer a reception dring (e.g. Bucks Fizz, Pimms, Champagne or Sparkling Wine), wine during the meal and a toast with speeches. The drinks package is tailored to your own requirements so you know the consumption has its limit while also making provision for your guests. Naturally guests have the facility to purchase additional drinks from the bar at any time. Full account bars are also available.
